MORE INFORMATION ON BOARDING AND DISEMBARKATION

We pick up passengers at both Galeão (GIG) and Santos Dumont (SDU) airports.

Shared transfer: the most economical option

You travel in a vehicle shared with other passengers, and the boat crossing is already included. We pick up at the door in Rio’s main neighbourhoods, such as Zona Sul, Centro, Barra and Tijuca, as well as at Santos Dumont and Galeão airports. For other neighbourhoods and towns in the region, you board at one of our meeting points along the route.

As we pick up passengers at other addresses, boarding starts at the chosen time and may take up to 1 hour.

Private transfer: faster and more comfortable

The vehicle is exclusively for you and your group, with no stops to pick up other passengers. We pick you up at the door at any address in the city of Rio de Janeiro, including the airports, and drive straight to Marina Porto Real. It is about 2 hours by road, with an immediate connection to the boat to Vila do Abraão.

The departure time is set according to the (shared) crossing you choose. You can choose between a standard or executive car, an executive van or a bus, depending on the size of the group.

The Ilha Grande tourist tax is charged by Angra dos Reis City Hall and is not included in the transfer prices.

Once we receive your booking, we will contact you to confirm the pick-up point.

Can I go directly from the Rio de Janeiro airport to Ilha Grande?

We pick up passengers at both Galeão (GIG) and Santos Dumont (SDU) airports.

  • Shared Transfer: Choose a van departure time that begins at least 1 hour after your scheduled landing. Provide your flight number during booking so we can monitor your arrival. Our team will contact you via WhatsApp as the van approaches the meeting point.

  • Private Transfer: A driver will meet you at the arrivals area holding a sign with your name. The boat crossing remains shared, and schedules should be calculated to ensure a viable connection.

  • Arriving on a late flight? We offer a VIP service with a private boat waiting for you at the pier. Contact us via WhatsApp for details.

  • Flight delays: If your flight is delayed, please notify our team as soon as possible so we can adjust your transfer arrangements.

Is the boat crossing included in the transfer?

Yes. The Flexboat ticket to Vila do Abraão is already included, perfectly synchronized with the van’s arrival time.

Do I need to book my transfer in advance?

Yes, always. On public holidays, weekends and in high season, we recommend booking even further ahead. We have a limited number of seats per departure, and they do sell out. When you book online, you get your confirmation right away, then the voucher by e-mail, and you just show it at the pier.

How much luggage can I bring on the transfer?

For shared transfers, each passenger is allowed 1 standard-sized suitcase or backpack plus 1 carry-on bag, which must be kept on your lap or under your feet. If you are traveling with additional luggage, please inform us when booking—extra fees may apply and acceptance depends on available space. On the boat, our crew loads your luggage, and it travels safely covered. For private transfers, select the vehicle size based on your total number of passengers and luggage pieces.

Is the crossing to Ilha Grande safe? Does the boat run in the rain?

Yes. Flexboats are certified by the Brazilian Navy, carry life jackets for every passenger and are operated by experienced sailors. They have a fibreglass hull and inflatable sides, which give stability and safety. They run normally in the rain. In extreme sea conditions, the departure is cancelled for safety and you will be notified immediately.
