The boat collects passengers from safe piers along the coast of the Araçatiba & Praia Vermelha.

It is possible to board directly from your pousada or hotel if it has a pier and is also listed below. If not, you will need to go to the nearest public pier.

You will find below a list of pick-up points. When booking, please make sure you choose the correct pick-up location, or there is a chance you may not be found.

IMPORTANT: There may be people travelling from Praia Vermelha or Araçatiba to the airport, therefore there is no tolerance for delays!

Unless passengers are at the designated pick-up point when the crew passes for them, the vessel will continue on to the next pick-up point without them.

The booking will be considered a “No show” in these cases and no refund will apply, or changes to new dates or time allowed.

You will be dropped off at the following locations after the transfer from Araçatiba or Praia Vermelha to Rio de Janeiro.

When going to the Airport

First, the van stops at the RIO Galeao Airport (GIG). Then, it stops at the Santos Dumont Airport (SDU). Another place where you can be dropped off is the Linx Hotel, which is the only hotel near the GIG airport that is allowed.

Occasionally, sea and road conditions may cause delays, and missed flights are not our responsibility. To ensure safe and timely arrival at the airport, please allow extra time for transit to the airports.

Rio Novo Bus Terminal

The shuttle is able to take you to the Novo Rio bus station, but you should give yourself ample time to catch the bus in case of delays.

Rio City Neighbourhoods

Drop-offs are available in safe and accessible areas in Rio. A favela or an unsafe location will not be visited by the van.

Central Areas – Downtown, Centro, Santa Teresa, Lapa, Flamengo, Laranjeiras, Catete, Gloria, Botafogo, Humaita, SDU airport, Maracanã (only the stadium), Vila Isabel, Tijuca Shopping Centre, Estácio.

Southern Area – Copacabana, Leme*, Ipanema, Leblon, Arpoador, Gavea, Jardim Botanico

The following areas will incur an additional fee – Barra da Tijuca, São Conrado, Recreio dos Bandeirantes.

The following locations are not serviced by the van

– Vidigal
– Location accessed by Ladeira Ary Barroso street on the hill of Leme*,
– Rua Saint Romain & other streets accessed by it.
– Maracana Area (The stadium is the only exception)
– Neighbourhoods around the GIG international Airport,
– Niterói
– Other areas that are located outside of drop-off zones or difficult for the van to access.

As far as baggage allowance is concerned, each passenger is allowed 1 standard suitcase, or backpack, and 1 hand luggage item. In the absence of space for the rest of the luggage, you must place hand luggage at your feet or on your lap.

The responsibility for carrying your own luggage to the boat and to the van lies with you.
